trunkiI just got my son a Trunki which we both love. In the process, I found out about Trunki Founder Rob Law and his inspiring entrepreneurial journey – particularly the chapter with the dragons in Dragons Den.

For those outside the UK, The Dragon’s Den is a BBC Series in which budding entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to five multi-millionaires willing to invest their own cash”.

Rob Law’s product the Trunki ( a multi-functional travelling case) was ripped apart in the den by the Dragons – it was painful to watch. You need to watch the video to see what I mean. Rob has however gone from strength to strength since that episode, achieving incredible success with his idea on his own.

This is a story of tenacity, having a really thick skin and believing in yourself.

My son and I love the Trunki, so I was shocked to  the Dragon’s didn’t spot that mothers and their kids would love it.

I just had to share these videos!

Enjoy and share them if you enjoyed them as much as I did.

Watch the Dragon’s make a u-turn!

  • Believe in yourself because at the end of the day that is all that counts
  • Be ready to reinvent and adapt
  • Introduce other incomes streams so you are not too dependent on one product
  • Everybody makes mistakes – even Dragons! So go easy on yourself.
  • At the end of the day, money, cash-flow and profitability keeps the wheels of business turning. Cash is a huge aspect of growth and you need to keep an eye on it at all times.

Talking about money…..

I’ve been hearing from alot of women business owners that they are scared and worried about their finances and what the future holds for them. I’ve decided to do something about that because we all need constant reminders to put our money lives in order. The alternative for me is unthinkable, particularly as entrepreneurs who are supposed to be responsible for our retirement etc. I’m focusing just on women this time because they have expressed the most need for help.

If you are a female entrepreneur who is working really hard but lack confidence and knowledge to manage your money (making more, protecting it and managing it generally), then you want to register for this FREE webinar: The Money Masterclass for Female Entrepreneurs. Click here to find out more and to register. Only 100 seats are available.
